An annual electrical inspection of your home can keep you
and your family safe.
Is Your Home Electrically Safe?
The leading cause of all fires in a home are related to electrical hazards. They could have been easily prevented with an annual electrical inspection.
If you live in an older home or you have just moved into a new home, you want to ensure that you, your family, and all of your belongings remain safe. Our detailed electrical inspection covers every electrical component in your entire home. We check the wattage of your light bulbs, outlet and switch operation, circuit breakers, grounding systems, surge protection, HVAC system electrical components, smoke and CO detectors, electrical panel, and any outdoor electrical systems.
Does your home have any of the following fuse boxes or breaker panels?
Zinsco, Federal Pacific, or Sylvania
The federal government has issued a caution about Federal Pacific, Zinsco and Sylvania electric panels to homeowners, electricians, home inspectors, and real estate agents. At issue, when a circuit breaker gets overloaded and overheats, the breaker is supposed to trip, shutting off to prevent a fire, but some of the breakers don’t work properly. These panels were installed in hundreds of thousands of homes.
Homes that were built between 1950 and 1990 may be at risk for fire!
If you do have one of these types of panels, your home and the safety of your family may be at risk. Call Amps & Volts Electric and we will give your property a thorough safety check. Rest easy with the peace of mind that comes with the knowledge that your residence is safe.
